EXPERIENCE TRUE HEALTHTrue health is something that we are all after. True health is not merely the absence of disease or symptom, but is vitality, energy and overall wellbeing. Yet when we look at our health care system, the majority of our time, and our money, is spent on managing diseases. We are left with a system that does a great job treating acute illness and trauma but tends to fall short when it comes to preventing chronic disease and promoting health.

Focus on Both Preventing and
Treating Disease
It is with this in mind that True Health was born. The synthesis of over 40 years combined experience in the wellness field left the doctors that created this model asking questions. They realized that if Americans didn’t start questioning the status quo, our country is going to stay headed in the wrong direction with more sickness and higher costs. They asked questions like: How can we help our patients get healthy? How can we help our patients STAY healthy? What does it actually take to prevent disease? It was by asking these hard questions that they came to see the bigger picture. We must begin to focus on preventing disease just as much as we focus on treating disease.

A Team Approach
True Health was created out of the need for cooperation within health care. Traditional medicine can do so much for patients but has some limitations. Natural health care can also do so much for patients but it has its limitations. The staff at True Health wanted a model that allowed patients to receive a multi-provider balanced approach where every patient was looked at by the whole team, their case discussed with the patient’s goal in mind, and an individualized plan of care presented to them.

True Health has two main departments, one that works on rehabilitation of the physical body and another that works on the chemistry of the body, e.g. hormones, blood sugar, obesity, etc. By focusing on these two areas, they are able to help people with a variety of symptoms.

Expertise in Physical Medicine
Patients in the physical medicine aspect of the practice come in for headaches, neck and back pain and shoulder/knee pain. By using a multidisciplinary approach, patients are able to achieve excellent results and avoid unnecessary drugs and surgery. This is a model that keeps side effects and costs to a minimum and helps patients get back to their life sooner. Through a combination of non-steroidal and non-narcotic pain management techniques, gentle chiropractic, and physical rehabilitation exercises, we are able to help patients restore function, and mobility. We look at the problem from all points of view and take an approach that gets results the vast majority of the time but has no negative side effects.

Experts in Body Chemistry
The other side of True Health focuses on what we all know is such an important aspect of staying healthy…diet. Our team is able to see what areas of your body are not functioning like they should. For example, two 40 year old women who both need to lose 30 pounds and both have fatigue may have these issues for two very different reasons. One woman may have hormone imbalances that are causing her struggles while the other may have imbalances in her digestive bacteria affecting her ability to lose weight. A detailed questionnaire and interviews will clue the team in on exactly where the root cause of the issues are and gives a blueprint for fixing the cause of their health problems. The main symptoms that patients present with are body weight challenges, pre-diabetes, diabetes, and fatigue. We also have programs to reboot and rejuvenate your body to get you ready for summer.

Treating Patients with Complex Issues
By focusing on both the physical body and the chemistry of the body, True Health can effectively treat patients with complex issues. If you have pain, that means that something is going wrong in your body. If you have blood sugar problems, it won’t just go away some day. There are other options out there that can help you live a healthier life. A life without as much medication, without excessive body weight, and with the kind of energy levels that allow you to actually live the life that you want.
